Entries have now closed for the 2019 Simmers Cup.
External entries are now invited for the 22nd playing of the prestigious Loretto Golf Academy Junior Championship and Simmers Cup, which will take place on Thursday, 3rd October 2019 at Craigielaw Golf Club. (There is no need for Loretto pupils who are part of the development and senior squad in the senior school to complete the entry forms at this stage). The Championship is the UK’s largest schools golf competition and attracts players from all over the country.
There are 4 age groups – Under 9, Under 11, Under 13 and Under 15. Please note that places are limited and will be offered on a first come first served basis.
The cost to enter the Simmers Cup is
- U9 – £10
- U11 – £15
- U13 – £30
- U15 – £30
No additional cost for entering the team events
Additional Information
- Competitors in both the Under 13 and Under 15 event will require an official handicap (maximum handicap – 28 boys, 36 girls) and present their CDH number on the day. Those competing in the Under 9 and Under 11 age group will not require a handicap.
- Handicap and scratch prizes will be awarded in the Under 13 and 15s age groups. The Under 11 and Under 9s age groups will be a scratch event. There will also be a team event at both U13 & U15 open to all schools. This is a scratch event with the best two scores from the schools entries counting towards a team score.
- Please make your way directly to Craigielaw Golf Course. Tee off times are booked from 8.00 am onwards. There will be a packed lunch and snacks for all competitors. Various prizes will be presented at the Golf Club after lunch for the Under 9 winners and at the end of the day (finishing time approx. 6.00 pm).
